This movie was created in Japan in 1996. It was created originally as two anime episodes - the American version is the edited version, and as the one for the one in Japan was the uncut version, that one is meant for older kids (because of sexual humor and cursing). To this day this movie is now hard to find, but the best places to look are www.amazon.com or www.ebay.com.

Sonic Anime/Sonic the Movie has only a few of the basic Sonic Characters – Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and Metal Sonic are the only ones you'll recognize from other Sonic Universes. Sonic's rival Robotnik has been kicked out of Robotnikland, by Dark Robotnik. and begs for help from our heroes. So, he holds the president and his lovely daughter Sera as hostages. Sonic refuses to help his rival because he, naturally, doesn't trust him. He refuses until Sera tells him, if he saves the world she will marry him! So that settles it. But wait! Is the girl in love with Sonic? Or does she have eyes for Hyper metal Sonic (please don't ask)? So, it is up to Sonic to save the world with the help of Tails and Knuckles. Sonic alike.
