Sonic Underground was released in 1999, but unfortunately, Sonic Underground didn't become the hit it's predecessors were. Set in a different reality of Sonic, it's radical change was just too much for most fans. However, some Sonic fans really enjoyed it's radical new theme and uniqueness, as you can see in many sites like "The World's Most Way Past Cool Sonic Underground Site" and the better known Sonic Underground.net.
