Due to the recent span of rule breaking, these rules will now be posted in plain view for reference.

Thanks to Hypertails, Altron, TF, and Knuxman for the base write up of these rules which has been salvaged from our old forum board.

Knuxman is in charge of board maintenance - if things aren't working, ask him. Otherwise, every other staff member has equal global moderator staff/ or admin ability.

 

Rules v. 2: [Adapted from Otaku Boards Rules]

TF Note: I got very tired of poor post quality, the extreme immaturity, and other things. I have decided to officially adopt Altron's rules. Read and follow them.

  1. Respect the staff. Honor their requests without any fighting/rebelling. Things really go more smoothly when you do so, and fighting a moderator will most likely result in a restriction of your abilities on this forum, or a complete ban.

  2. If you have any problems concerning another member, please feel free to PM a staff member. DO NOT post your problem in a forum.

  3. Absolutely no begging for a position as moderator or administrator. If more moderators are needed, I'm sure Knuxman or Tailsfanatic will PM you specifically if you are the best-suited for the job. If any threads are opened asking to become a mod, they will be closed and you will be warned. If you honestly desire for a position, and feel you are qualified, send 1 sincere PM to Tailsfanatic/Knuxman. If we say no, it's no, and vice versa.

  4. What exactly is Spam here?

    • - Swearing

    • - Verbal Abuse: Verbal abuse includes swearing and/or any inappropriate language directed toward either a member or a staff member. Any form of threat, insult or inappropriate behavior towards a member or staff member is viewed very seriously by TSW. This includes flaming, and the like.

    • - Posting Commercial Advertising

    • - Adult Images/Content

    • - Selling/Distribution/Advertising of Copyrighted Materials

    • - Plagiarism

    • - Single Word Posts

    • - Double Posting/Triple Posting, etc.

    • - Unrelated Posts

    • - Religous References

    • - Repeating Currently Existing Threads

    • - Bumping an old, inactive thread

    • - Incoherent/Sloppy Posts: This is extremely important. If your post does not contribute to the discussion at hand, your post will be deleted. If a thread you start can not hold intelligent discussion, the thread will be closed.

  5. Do not impersonate a moderator. If you're doing so, you're completely disrespecting the moderator who's supposed to be handling things. Besides, someone who breaks the rules will answer to a moderator. Not a regular member.

  6. As mentioned at the beginning of this rules page, staff will always assume that members have read the rules. Members who violate the rules are potential candidates for a ban.

    Banning can be carried out by Administrators or, with the consent of an Administrator, a Moderator may also ban. As a result, the individual nature of the ban is at the discretion of the individual staff member who conducts it.

  7. All members are expected to carry a certain level of maturity. Please don't go screaming "oOo!" just because in a mature thread someone mentioned something... mature.

  8. Enjoy your stay here, and do not ruin anyone else's time.

Rules v1 (Still Apply):
  1. You are to do what the staff says.

  2. If you have any problems, report to the admins and we'll take care of it, most likely Echidna Project or Knuxman.

  3. If you want to become staff, take it up with TF or Knuxman. If you post a message asking to be an moderator or admin, it will be deleted.

  4. If you SPAM to get your post count up, your post count will be reset and you will either be warned, suspended, or banned.

  5. Do not flame other users!

  6. No flooding!

  7. No acting like a mod or admin. You will get in trouble.

  8. If a user spams or floods, do not reply saying so. Staff will handle it ASAP.

  9. No religious references, please. The topic tends to be a breeding ground for arguments.

  10. Breaking rules will result in punishment based on the mood of the staff member you anger.

  11. Sig images can not exceed 750 x 150 and lines of text can be no longer than 15 (excluding spaces)

  12. Do not post any sites where you can obtain things like ROMs and Emulators! They are illegal and are not encouraged by us! You have all been warned!
