Robotnik has made the little animals into robots, and your job as Sonic and Tails is to free them and put the evil doctor back in is place. You would think that after trying this already and failing, Robotnik would try something a little different. After all, isn't he supposed to be a genius? *sigh* Well, at least having a redundant plot is better than having no plot at all.
