They call me Fanatic, Tailsfanatic. Hey everyone, this is a bit of a bio of your webmaster for the past three years, Tailsfanatic.
Let's see...I like video games. Quite a bit, actually. This'll kinda merge with the History Section a bit, but Video Games were what first got me into Sonic the Hedgehog. I got my first one when I was very small, 'twas Sonic CD. Through the games, I got more and more interested in Sonic the Hedgehog, and branched from the games into the TV show(s) and comics. In 2002, in a desperate bid to release my growing fandom, I created a dinky little page known as The Sonic World. It was just a little webpage, until it grew..and grew...and grew.
But enough about the Sonic World, about me. I also watch a good deal of anime, though believe me, I don't come close to qualifying as obsessive (unlike some people I have the misfort- err, know.). I'll tell you why. I do not and have not ever:
--Cosplay
--Watch more than 5 hours of anime in a day.
--Watched more than 10 hours of anime in a weekend.
--Refer to myself as an "Otaku".
--Write Anime FanFiction.
--Have a website with a Japanese name.
--Insist on sitting on the floor to eat.
--Do other otaku-ey stuff.
Now that that's out of the way, I am most likely a “geek”. I do meet most of the requirements – play enough video games for my parents to get mad at me, adore my wonderful lappie computer Arcadia, throw some anime in there, read books my English teacher recommends, call myself a geek, etc. However, I am a reserved geek, meaning I draw the line at too much uber-geekiness. I'm not making much sense? Yes...I get that sometimes, and I normally just stop talking. In this case typing. Anyway, onto a new subject.
I also like to play soccer, 'tis definetly my sport of choice. I was actually on my school's JV team this last season, and that was quite fun. Tragic end, but fun nonetheless. I listen to an interesting range of music, from classical, to modern rock/alternative, techno/pop to a small extent, and even Jpop/Rock and anime music. I like the term eclectic, when it comes to my musical taste.
I read a whole lot. Some of my favorite books are The Lord of the Rings, and On All Hallow's Eve. Oooh I'm going to a party so I gotta wrap this up. One day I want to play a Virtual reality MMORPG where I can use l33t weapons and slay 3v1l D3m0ns with my friends...um...want to run really fast one day but I'm too lazy to train...want to build robots when I grow up...I'm in high school, close to the top of my class...Tairu-Mania, signing out.
